Kverneland Group has always held a prominent position within the bale equipment and chopper sector.

For more than 50 years, Vicon has been known as a strong baler brand, while Kverneland has held a leading position as a pioneer within bale wrappers. To maintain this position Kverneland Group has established a dedicated baler competence centre in Ravenna in the Northern part of Italy.

The baler competence centre is one of the most modern baler manufacturing sites in Europe, and is a production facility with more than 30 years of baler manufacturing experience. A new modern factory with streamlined production facilities working according to LEAN principles was opened in 1999.

At Kverneland Group Ravenna, new machines and concepts are developed with R&D, Product Management and Manufacturing departments working closely together and in tandem with our customers. Understanding new market trends and the possibilities of new technologies, has always been a key factor when developing new balers, bale wrappers and choppers.

The baler competence centre is 100% owned by Kverneland Group.
